Bahar Ucanlar, who served as Marketing Director at Diageo Turkey since January 2021, has been appointed as the General Manager of Diageo Turkey, and become the first female General Manager at the company. As of April 1, 2024, Ucanlar is going to assume this position previously held by Levent Komur, and in her new position, she will continue to share the experience and knowledge she has gained from her previous leadership roles with Diageo Turkey, with a focus on further elevating the company's success.
Bahar Uçanlar, one of the foremost marketing leaders in Türkiye, has held various managerial and general management positions in numerous national and international companies throughout her career of 24 years. Having graduated from the Department of Business Administration of Bogazici University, Ucanlar started her professional career in 2000. From 2002 to 2004, she studied MBA program at the University of Michigan in the USA and then joined Bain&Company as a management consultant, specializing in the FMCG, healthcare and private equity sectors. Following her leadership roles at PepsiCo in the USA, she returned to
Türkiye in 2011 and held senior strategy and marketing positions at Mondelez International, Turkcell and Kantar Arastirma. In 2017, she was appointed as General Manager at Mars Sportif, where she held this position for nearly 3 years. Joining Diageo Turkey in January 2021 after a successful career, Bahar Ucanlar served as the Marketing Director of the company for 3 years, during which she led many important projects. Appointed as the first female General Manager at Diageo Turkey, Ucanlar is going to start her new position on April 1, 2024.
